How to Explain this Google Algorithm Search Anomaly?

One of the best web sites comparing Charleston and Savannah is difficult to find in Google, but is very highly ranked in Bing.

Note 1: I did everything requested in Webmaster Tools, including submitting a site map and filing a reinclusion request. Google acknowledged the reinclusion request, but didn't offer any analysis of the site, only a set of generic recommendations, all of which have been met or exceeded.

Note 2: The Charleston or Savannah web site will appear in a Google search if you specify a unique property, like "Charleston or Savannah lakesidepress."

Note 3: This website has never tried to 'game' the search or use any of the link schemes detailed in the recent New York Times article ("The Dirty Little Secrets of Search. Why One Retailer Kept Popping Up as No. 1"). The site has nothing to sell, and is 100% non-commercial (except for the google-placed ads at the top and bottom of the page).

Note 4: Several other lakesidepress.com web sites -- with similar html coding but on different subjects -- have very high rankings on relevant Google searches (often #1). Below are examples where www.lakesidepress.com web sites appear #1 in a Google search:
